Who We Are

Our Purpose

We want to utilize every available biblical means, and we want to disciple and train every member to participate in accomplishing our church's purpose. The purpose of the church is summed up in the commission Christ gave His disciples just before He ascended to Heaven: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen: (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our Mission

Our mission is to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ by building Christian lives through our three-point mission statement:

Commit - Loving God begins in the heart, with a personal relationship with Him.

Connect - We grow together, in Christ, through the study of God's Word.

Compassion - We serve others as we find a place of ministry in the local body.

Our Story

Calvary Chapel Baptist Church was started in 1970 by Ron Boldman in the Crescent Theater in downtown Minster. God blessed and used Pastor Boldman in a great way to see many lives changed, and the church grew in a phenomenal way throughout the early years of its existence. Calvary Chapel soon came to be called “the Miracle in Minster”.

Over the years, God has allowed Calvary Chapel to start many ministries and programs to reach out to the local community. A thriving bus and transportation ministry, student and children’s ministries, a Gospel printing “Seed Line” ministry, and a community food pantry for those in need are just a few of the ministries Calvary Chapel has been privileged to start.

In addition to the many ministries of Calvary Chapel, God has allowed the facilities of Calvary Chapel to grow from humble beginnings in a theater to now include a beautiful auditorium, church office center, a fellowship hall and dining area, classrooms and assembly areas, a full-size gymnasium, a full-service bus garage, and a recreation area with ball fields and a playground.

But more important than any ministries or facilities, hundreds of souls have been saved and many lives have been changed as a result of what God has done through the people of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church.

The mission of The Church is this: “Building Christian Lives" by people committing to Christ, Connecting to the local church, and showing compassion toward others. We are excited to get to know you. Please join us.
